undergraduate institutions Survey

As one of Peterson’s longest standing projects, the Undergraduate Institutions Survey has become a cornerstone in the higher education data world. We survey over 4,000 institutions annually collecting a robust set of data about colleges and universities across the world. This survey powers Peterson’s college search as well as two-year and four-year guide books that are used by high school counselors, career centers, public libraries, and students all over the country.

Financial Aid Survey

The Financial Aid Survey addresses topics like the types of students who receive aid, the types of aid an institution awards, non-need based awards such as scholarships as well as need-based aid like grants and work-study. It also measures indebtedness and student loans among other financial aid topics. This survey provides a foundation for students to learn about college affordability and powers our guide books that are designed to help parents and students understand the aid your institution offers.

Distance Learning survey

Online is the future and our Distance Learning Survey addresses remote education offerings available at institutions. It encompasses topics like what programs are available online, the academic and technical program requirements and the type of support available in the program. This information empowers students to explore remote education opportunities available to them at an institution.

Graduate Survey

Our Graduate Survey specifically addresses the graduate programs available at an institution. Information collected includes student characteristics, tuition and fees, entrance requirements, completion requirements, as well other key information students need access to.

Scholarships survey

This survey collects information from scholarship sponsors all over the country. Our database includes programs available to students in our print guidebooks as well as our interactive scholarship search website. It encompasses program details like eligibility criteria, submission criteria, and award amounts.
